THE LIES GINGRICH TELLS ABOUT OBAMA AND NATIONAL SECURITY

In the context of the growing Iranian menace and his frantic push to get noticed again, Newt Gingrich told a crowd of supporters that defeating Barak Obama was, in his words, “in fact, a duty of national security.”  Newt, ever the antagonist, goes on to claim that the President is incapable of defending the United States.

In his on-going attempt to validate his credentials at something other than committing adultery, Newt has gone back to a familiar GOP tone of claiming that Democrats in general and Obama in specific are just not able to make the hard decisions to keep America safe. Newt actually had the audacity to say that Obama is the most dangerous president in American history.  Wow!  And this claim comes from a historian!  Wow!

I mean, oh gee, look around.  Don’t you see all those terrorists at our doorsteps because Obama is incapable of stopping them before they pass through Immigration Control at our airports or along our borders.  Yikes.  What’s next if Obama is re-elected?  Jihad training camps in the suburbs of Des Moines, Iowa?

Newt of course defaults to his too often used claim that there is a very specific group of people that have a very specific desire to very specifically kill us.  He was not naming names but always refers to Islamic extremists when defining who these very specific groups of people are.  He believes that these extremist exist only because Obama lets them exist.  Their creation and continued existence is a direct, specific and exclusive by-product of President Obama’s presidency.  Really?  I mean, Newt, are you saying, as a historian, tht nothing in our history has reason to cause some people not to like Americans.  Really?  Gosh.

Oh give it a break, Newt.  I liked you better when you succumbed to patriotic pressures and had an affair or two.

Newt keeps rattling his Iran card.  So tells us, Newt, what would you do; Bomb Iran?  Put together a large group of nomadic hit squads who would roam the world looking for Islamic extremists and then once identified go out and liquidate them?

Newt’s barbaric and just plain stupid rhetoric makes for great sound bites when speaking before a bunch of CPAC enthusiasts or having lunch with the intellectual likes of Sarah Palin.  But what would happen if we bombed Iran?  Could such an attack actually destroy for now and forever its nuclear program?

Even if we could succeed in such an effort, what consequences would result from our action?  Why don’t you talk about that, Newt?  Or is the truth too hard to promote?

What about Iran’s army, navy and extensive missile arsenal; do we Bomb them as well.  And what about Iranian terrorists secreted around the world that can drive by on a motorcycle and just throw a bomb here and there?  Do we bomb the world just to make it safe for American democracy?  What about the people of Israel?  You know and I know that Iran will retaliate for any attack on its soil and its first target will be Israel and, regardless of Israel’s advanced anti-missile system, many Israelis will die?  And for what; they will die because Newt Gingrich’s view of American national security discounts the lives of people who are not Americans?

And what about the disruption in oil that would surely be a by-product of any attack on Iran? Who will be able to afford $10 a gallon gasoline…oh yeah, that’s right, the one-percent of Americans like that guy from the casino who is bankrolling Newt.  I wonder how his business would suffer if Southern Californians would no longer drive to Las Vegas because they couldn’t afford the gas?

But still, in Newts morally bankrupt mind, we would have achieved a nuclear free Iran.  America would be safe…bankrupt but safe.  This then can become Newt’s new political motto:  bankrupt but safe.

When are we going to hold our candidates responsible for what they say?  One liners may be red meat to their audience, but they are not a declaration of a rationale policy?  We as an informed constituency need to drill down on opined doctrine and policy.  We need to get the details; you know the details where the devil lives.

And by the way, if you’re really looking for terrorists, Newt; I suggest you go to the Virginia State Capital where some Christian extremists are trying to pass this demeaning trans-vaginal probe legislation.  Now there is religions extremism.  Go fight them.  In many ways they are a bigger threat to the American way of life than any Islamist hiding in a hut in Somalia.
